Mechanisms of Plasma Actuators Controlling High-Aspect-Ratio Rectangular Jet Width for Automobile Air Conditioning Systems

High-aspect-ratio (HAR) rectangular jets have attracted attention in automobile air conditioning (A/C) systems and turbulent jet applications owing to their excellent delivery mixing attractive interior design. Active flow control (AFC) of using plasma actuators (PAs) has proven be a promising technique because the actuator is simple, low energy consumption, can create features without interference. This research aims understand interaction between PAs from HAR nozzle hot-wire anemometry, particle image velocimetry, theoretical studies. Understanding how affect beneficial for designing vents fit A/C various engineering by recreating with other AFC techniques actuators. The combination periodic excitation vectoring effects transfers flow’s mean organized structures—known as spanwise vortexes—as large 6 mm. these coherent structures dissipative environment compresses vortexes, resulting converging on spanwise–streamwise (X–Z) plane diverging transverse–streamwise (X–Y) plane. controlled predicted specific cases calculating Strouhal number based PA operating parameters.
